Rush to the airport scene : Australia

An almost mandatory scene for romance movies or romcoms or C stories involving romance in stories is the 'rush to the airport scene' (to get the gal/guy and let us know the romance will live on after the story ends) near the end of the story. I try to pay attention to this more, and other elements. Watched the new DVD rental release Australia last night, I thought it was outstanding. Anyhow, I noticed the 'race to the airport scene' at the end, although of course it was not the airport. Don't want to give away any spoilers for those that have not seen the movie, just an observation of an interesting twist on that romance element. I also noticed four writers wrote the screenplay-- imagine the creativity that could occur if not one but four talented screenwriters collaborated on a screenplay (I am envious).

Liar liar ending was changed to the "rush to airport with a twist" by the powers that be. Original script was different (exactly how escapes me right now).

Four scriptwriters, one room, one script. Epic horror, but a good idea for a film. (thinking short)
