Running with Scissors

[BryantStanton]

Hm, did a search and couldn't find a thread on this film.

Just saw it last night, I had seen the preview, but didn't know much about it otherwise. I was pleasantly surprised. It reminded me a bit of Royal Tennebaums in it's portrayal of a quirky family. Very funny I thought, but also a bit sad/serious at times.

It's based on the memoirs of Augusten Burroughs, and his life during and after his parent's divorce around the age of 15.

I recommend it, great performances by Annette Benning, Brian Cox, Alec Baldwin, and quite a few others.

Yeah, the acting was outstanding; very impressed by Evan Rachel Wood's acting as well.
