i am hoping to make a music video for a local band soon, and i have a few locations in mind to shoot the video, however, i want to use a few key lights and flash a couple of 8 lights (stage blinders) to the music (dimmers will be needed obviously). to my knowledge, the only way i think i could run the lights is off a generator, however, i have no previous experience of using one, or what level of power i would require to run what i need.
has anyone else been in a similar situation where no local power has been available and resorted to a generator?
i would also need a source of power for a lighting desk but i have been told that this can be abit dodgy as a generators voltage level can vary? is this true?
