Running actor with shaking background

Hi

Would like to know any tips on doing this. We want the actor to be running with a close-up shot on the face but the effect of background shaking instead of the actor's face. Should the actor be holding the camera??

if you can't get a body brace to mount it to, then yes, the DIY approach would be to put it on a lightweight shoulder mount rig (like a spiderbrace) and have the actor hold it backwards, rigidly pointed at himself. i did this in this video, not running, but same idea.

good luck!

why don't use a greenscreen? Film some footage, of the background, whit shake photo, and then a footage of the actor, not shaking.

Wow. What a great read. Thanks. The funny thing is we are actually going for the Aronofsky feel to the film. More of like the 'Pi' look. Thanks!

It depends on what effect you want.

I did this ones, and the actor should run for a short bit, but it just went to shake from his steps. So we did it whit greenscreen.

If it doesn't look smooth we will definitely go for the greenscreen. Good to have options

Thanks!
