We are continuing the shoot after the summer holidays
Here are some screen grabs and a picture of the simple setup. Only natural lighting used for this shoot.
I even got a friend to help us with some drone shots. Really happy with how those turned out.
A small update here:
We have finished about 90 % of the principal photography for the film. And I have a rough cut of it now. The wholy cut is now at 8 minutes and 30 seconds. and we have one scene left to shoot. I'm betting this will give around 30 seconds more.
An experience I have had with this project is how in the middle of produciton you are so focused on getting each scene, and when you edit it, you edit the scenes.. and you think "that scene works". But then when you go ahead and look at the entire narrative, as we have done now, we can easily see the "missing parts". So I'm betting we have some pick-ups to do..
Here's a snap of the timeline.
Here's a screen grab from one of the final fight scenes:
I've been getting some comments about the music and sound effects so I thought it could be good to talk about it.
Ruins Ignite was made with no external audio recording. I had some usable audio from the internal mic, but 95 % of the audio from that film is added in post, and I used Uppbeat's library of music and sound effects. This is a video dedicated to them:
