I ordered the Ruige TL-S550HD monitor from CoolLcd ($288 plus shipping) and tried it today on my AF-100. For me, it solves the critical focus problem I have when trying to focus with the LCD. It has a zoom feature with a nice remote button that lets you quickly go to 1:1 pixel mode, and with the HDMI connection , high rez and peaking function, it's pretty easy to focus now.
I wanted to use DVX/HVX type batteries because I have extras around. CoolLcd had a Sony battery mount but no others. I scoured Ebay and found a British company that had the adaptor for Panny batteries for about $15. Battery problem solved. (Ruige seems to be a more respected brand of broadcast gear in Britain, judging from the supplier sites selling the same monitors at huge markups).
It comes with a foldout sunhood that pops off the monitor if you don't need it. The cable that comes with it, Mini HDMI to HDMI, doesn't fit- had to get a regular HDMI cable. It does come with a locking HDMI connector add on. I shot some images below that show the mounted monitor, image compared to the LCD, zoomed in image, etc. The 2nd photo is a closeup of the actual monitor image. Fire away with any questions.
