RR PL mount issues

Ok I got the PL mount.
I posted on RR forum too, so if they offer any solution I will let you know.
2 problems

1. The thing will not hold an Arri PL mount lens. The "wings" on the lens are not properly grabbed by the PL mount locking ring. So the Super Speed prime lens wants to fall off the mount and hit the floor.

--So I took out the screw locating pin and rotated the lens clock wise about 45 degrees and it finally held....not as the Mount is intended to be used, and certainly lame for my AC.

I was at the rental house and the Lens tech said the PL mount was machined incorrectly. He said it also needed a screw to stop the locking ring from rotating counter clockwise more than a 90 degree arc.

I think this problem could be fixed with a new locking ring.

2. The big one for me is that I spent nearly an entire day adjusting my GG to get the focus perfect on my nikons. Now I can pull tape to focus!

HOWEVER with the PL mount on and the GG still set to the Nikon distance the lenses will not focus at all. I could only get even a small bit in focus with the 50mm and 85mm PL lenses. The witness mark said something like 12 feet and I was 4 feet from the focus chart. No way I could get infinity.

Now I know this is a flange issue and I need to adjust the GG for the PL mount lenses (52mm). Is it true that we would need to go through the long process of readjusting the GG again when we switch from mount to mount. The flanges are different on the mounts, right? So should not the different flange length be compensated by the flange that RR has tooled?

I think this must be an oversight on RR's part or this particular PL mount is bad.

I hope I am just wrong about this, but maybe I should get another RR black box to have one GG set to PL mounts and one GG set to Nikon. An expense I did not forsee.

I have not heard from anyone at RR.
I edited the original post to make it make a bit more specific and to take out my ranting.
