rostronics lights

Hey all-
Im very interested in the Rostronics lights posted in the Lighting fourm. How reliable aree they? Are the as reliable/sturdy as Lowells? You cant beat them for the price. I shoot alot of interviews. Would the (2) 650W. with softboxes be too much, or could (2) 250w. with softboxes work? Any comments/advise on these lights would be helpful.
Thanks
Brian

Re: rostronics lights

They've been reliable for me. I had a couple since July and have had no problems.

I'd go with the 650s from a versatility standpoint. You can always scrim a light or move it back to diffuse it, but you can't make the 250s more powerful.

I just bought one of these - very impressed. The quality is quite good and the light is very controllable I like these and I plan to buy more. Other than my Lowell Tota's they are my favorite instrument.
