rosewater (jon stewarts movie) bad rolling shutter?!?

just over 18 minutes in theres shots taken from a car looking at the cityscape etc.. really bad camera shake, jello effect etc.
im no pro dop but theres some very odd cinematography in this movie.. maybe its just me, has anyone seen it?
 
From memory (of the AC Magazine article on it) most of the vehicle shots were done with a handycam (of the sort Gael Garcia Bernal uses in the film) rather than the Alexa which was the A-Camera for the bulk of the shoot.
