Ronin MX Jerky Pans

I'm trying to dial in my Ronin MX and was hoping someone with some experience could point me in the right direction...

I've been able to mount and balance a couple different cameras well and the balance test rates it as "excellent". All the motors are between 0 and 3-4 at idle. What I'm running into is pan axis is not smooth, it's very sudden and jerky almost like a very short whip-pan but not quite a "violent" if that makes sense. As I pan the gimbal I will get zero response then it pan in quick short bursts, like it's trying to catch up with where it should be and once it catches up it stops... lags there and then plays catch up again.

I hope I am making sense with the above description. I'm just breaking the surface with it but I really feel like this could be a useful tool in the arsenal and I'm getting the balancing and all that part of sorted out. I just need to know what settings I need to finesse on this pan axis.

Thanks for your time!

Has no one else ran into this issue with their Ronin MX (M)? I still cannot seem to iron out the issue but it seems like the pan axis would be the most common axis used gimbal moves so I wouldn't think it should be such an ordeal to line it out. But then again, I can't crack it.

Hi,

Can you post a screen grab of your settings. I'm assuming that your trying to get the smooth track setting dialled in? This is when you are working as a single operator.

I've only had my Mx for a month and may be able to help you dial it in.

Hi,
A couple of weeks ago I was having the same issue with my Ronin MX mounten on M600, after hours of struggling with it, and not finding answers on every forum, I decided to check for firmware updates on every component. The solution was there. Connect your Ronin to a computer and using its own application for firmware updates (chek it on DJIs website), update all 6 firmwares (receiver, motors, etc)... Hope it helps.
