Ronin: Anyone considering the 4th axis jockey gimbal?

Above is the picture of a recently invented gimbal addon attachment for the popular ronin or freefly system that is supposed to further reduce any shakes in gimbal footage.

I don't own a ronin (i own tha GC X10) but all the footage I've seen shot using ronin seems very solid by themselves. The jockey guys claim they've added pistons to the bottom swing arm that eliminates bounce back which their demo videos prove, but it all seems a bit unnecessary to me for an additional grand over the price of the 3axis already.

Below is tha picture of the spring arm arm and the Pistons which is all they added to the equation aside from repositionable handles.

This may be knit picking but I also don't like how the jockey relies on a belt type support instead of a vest like I'm used to with the x10. The belt is only If you would like to spend the extra money on that feature in the delux package though.

Just wondering what everyons thoughts on this type of upgrade or addon are. Here's a link to the completed Kickstarter for any other info on it.

I second that question. I just picked up a Ronin and had to save up for that bad boy and just saw this add-on. I'm thinking more to using it for car shots to get slightly better stabilization. It seems cool but really pricey for what it is. I guess it's still in development stages so cost is high.

Anyone had a chance to try it out and is it worth the high price tag?

Since I posted this i havent seen anyone using it and haven't heard or seen much chatter about it probably due to the fact the ronin is already pretty great.

Guess it was just a gimmick but a good theory at that. Costs aside, if it were light enough and less bulky I could see it catching on.
