Ronford Moose Bars

Having recently taken delivery of my new kit I was looking for a decent method of hand holding. I tried the DVrigpro but have to say found it fiddly and cumbersome for every day field shooting and not really practicable.

However, my dealer recommended a great set of "moose" bars actually designed for HDCAM but which can be fitted onto the matte box support bars and offer excellent hand held support without the need for rigging anything up.

As they are Ronford they aint cheap but worth a look if you don't like the DVRIGPRO. I will post a pic of the full kit shortly so you can see.

Jonathan,

Did you test the DvRigPro. "for real" with the support belt
and pod ?

You can call Dan at PEC and arrange a real demo.

Re: Ronford Moose Bars

Danny,

Yes I did try it out at PEC recently. I wasn't intending to be overly critical, just from a personal everyday users point of view, it didn't suit my needs. Its certainly a great development for users with the right needs but personally I didn't like the belt/pouch and suport rod (which I appreciate is an important part of its design!)

However, given the right circumstances, in the future I may well change my mind!

Regards,
Jonathan
