Hi guys -- I was wondering if anyone has any experience with this cheap Roland monitor -- the DS-5. I'm looking to buy a decent starter pair of monitors for as low-end price as I can get. I know a lot of people like the Event TR-6's -- just wondering if anyone has anything to say about this Roland model, or the brand in general. This DS-5 would be almost $200 cheaper than the Events for a pair.
One specific question -- is the fact that it can take straight digital input a plus, or not that significant?
Also, I know it is important to auditon any monitors before buying -- I just have not had the opportunity yet...
