I'm looking for a good shotgun mic for my cam.
Indoors, Outdoors, capturing speech and maybe a bit of background effects.
In my studio I have a Rode NT2A. I trust that thing with my... errr... vocals.
Rode has won "Best Microphone for Any Price" awards before, and I'm very happy with their studio mics in general, but I don't know about this one. It's quite cheap, and it has a mini jack connection (aiming at the toy camcorder market?).
I would go for the Sennheizer 417 or even the Shure SM89, but they are just a bit too expensive for me right now.
