Rode Videmic shotgun 1/8th output to XLR

I just received my AG-DVX100BP camcorder, but want to use my trusted Rode Videomic instead of the Panasonic phantom-powered stereo shot gun mic AG-MC100G (a foolish purchase!) However, the Rode has a mini 1/8 male plug that carries the mono signal to left and right channel. Where can I buy a female mini adapter connected to a male XLR to connect to the AG-DVX100BP camera?

Thank you.
John

Any music store will carry an adappter. In Elon NC you should be able to his Guitar Center in Greensboro and get a 1/8" to 1/4" and a 1/4" to XLR adapter. Should be $5 and $15 respectively.

In my opinion though, you're not going to get all the benefit of the DVX's audio section using a Rode Videomic.

Thank you, Jeremy.

The Panasonicshot gun mic is very sensitive to any handling of the camera and installed with its windscreen creeps into the top right corner of the picture! Definitely a design flaw!

Can't afford something better at present - a spare battery must come first, but do you have a recommendation?

Cheers,
John
