Rode SM5 mount - faulty?

Just in: Rode SM5 shock mount , bought for use on a Canon A1 camera.
It says 'a two way mounting system with internal threads for tripod and boom pole mounting'. So I bought it online.

But HEY, there is NO THREAD in this thing , honestly. It is heavy too, I would't hesitate to use it somewhere as a car part, it's solid steal. But is this normal? Someone with a SM5? Is there 1/4"x20 and 3/8"x16 thread inside?
:crybaby:

Yeah... but thinking was first now I am dealing with the SM5. With a purpose: you can attach it to the Canon A1 clamp and I want the shoe free for receiver or light.

But Question remains: is this a faulty product or is it normal? Read above it says: 'internal threads'.

The weight is 160 gram...pff you can always 'cut off' a piece.

Sm3 fits boom?

Sm3 fits boom?

Are you SURE the SM3 fits the boom? Where is the internal 3/8" thread?
Is it under the shoe connector?

The SM5 says it's there but it isn't... so now I don't trust my English or understanding anymore... (I thought 'internal thread' means that you can connect it to the boom that you can screw it on it.) :Drogar-Shock(DBG):

SM3 fits on both a boom and the hotshoe. I have one and the thread is underneath the shoe connector.

The SM5 incorporates a two way mounting system with 1/4"x 20 and 3/8" x 16 internal threads, for Tripod and Boom Pole mounting. I am currently using this mount and really like it.

Well, its laying here in font of me and THIS one hasn't. NOT.
I will call the shop tomorrow to find out more.

--> RUSKA is right: normaly the Rode SM5 has the internal threads.

Ok, I called the shop, they double checked it. It happens to be a faulty exemplar with two holes but no thread inside. Sh@t happens. What a confusing waist on energy, thanks to you all.

yeah ..yeah.. called the shop and returned the thing, then the shop replied that they received new stock from Rode, and in that stock there is not even a hole underneath and obvious no thread on the SM5, looks like ... you are warned.
