I am considering purchasing the Rode NTG-2 kit from BH http://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/421940-REG/Rode_NTG_2_Shotgun_Microphone.html
I matched up the individual products and it turns out to be the same price. My question is would this be a sufficient audio kit for my ex1r? i have been using a smaller electro- voice pl37 condenser mic and while it has served me well the ambient sound I have picked up has become a nuisance and the clarity is good but not great.
FYI I often do independent short films, documentaries etc...
If there are any similar kits you all have are using that would be an alternative at this price point I will do my research.
