Rode NTG-1 Problem?

My Rode NTG-1 came from B&H today and when I looked at the XLR pins I saw one is longer than the other two. When looking at the end, with the middle pin down, the pin on the left is about 1/8" longer. Is this the way it is made? Is there anything I can do to correct it? Any comments would be great.

I think it is longer to make the ground connect first?

It's not the length of your pin that makes the difference, it's how how you use it that is important.

I think thats right petrus - ground connects first so mic is always grounded

That is funny! Anyway thanks for your replies, I just wanted to make sure it was ok to use. BTW, it sounds great.
