Rode NT1-A status?

[Alpha Flying Monkey]

I was looking to pick up an NT1-A for the studio and noticed that a couple of the on-line sources list this mic as discontinued... Anyone heard anything about this? I checked the Rode site, but there wasn't any kind of announcement.

Well they're celebrating the 15th anniversary of the mic and have advertisements on their website, so I doubt that they're discontinuing it.

The NT1-A is still very much an existing product, it's the same mic – it’s now been repackaged with several additional accessories. It looks like some dealers are selling the earlier release NT1-A at a runout price, perhaps creating some confusion in the process. Cheers.

Raster- Thanks for the info... That makes sense.
