Rode External Mic

i have a Rode mic that i used with my old camera but it does not connect to xlr outlet on the dvx. is there some kind of connector that i need to use my rode mic?

i apologize if this is a newb quistion, but i did do some research and didnt find anything.

Is it the Vid-mic, with a jack? You'd need an xlr-adapter to get it running to your camera, unless there is a jack input.
