Hello,

I just got the Rode blimp (my first blimp)
Can anyone recommend a case for it?

Best regards,

I wouldn't mind some info on that either. Mine should be here next week. I have some room in my main kit, but I won't know for sure if it will fit until I get it.

I just tried dropping it into a KATA MC61 case. It's our go to case around here with lots of little compartments and a solid support when zippered up.

Believe it or not, that's a K-TEK Traveler boom pole in there. That spot is usually for a laptop. I've put my 17" MacBook Pro in there.

What case are you using at the moment Jim?

It's one I got from a computer engineer. It's just a basic plastic shell about 10"x22"x28" I think. I put in some foam and dividers and it holds my AT-897 (in it's case), Oktava MK-012 (In it's case) two Micover Puffins, a set of cans, two G2 Wireless lav sets, a portable mixer, 2-25' cables, 2-50' cables, an extra shckmount and a bunch of adapters and stuff. (still some room though...) I love it. When the guy retired he gave me three of them. I use one for audio, one (a little bigger) for stingers, power cables and strips, and one I keep empty for small shoots so I can fit everything but the camera, tripod and stands in one case.
