Rock Operas? Rock Musicals?

I'm looking for musicals with a heavier sound or darker content. I just watched Tommy which had some interesting stuff in it and I'm looking for others. So Far the only one's i've found are The Wall, and Hedwig and the Angry Inch (haven't watched them yet)

Any suggestions?

yeah, i looked that up, but it's not a musical is it? I looked up a lot of clips on youtube and no one's ever singing.

Can't remember to be honest. I saw it awhile back. I remember it has Sting in it but whether they sing the songs in the movie or just have it on as a soundtrack I can't recall.

While neither of them are great films, I would say Quadrophenia is a better film than Tommy.

Ken Russell's "Tommy" made it impossible for me to listen to the album. Oliver Reed and Ann-Margaret annoyed me that much, and I don't generally find them objectionable.

I used to date a Manic Depressive girl who would crank The Wall video in the middle of the night. I can't seem to listen to Pink Floyd anymore without cringing.
