Robert Primes A.S.C. on the virtues of HD

Of course, he is shooting with the Genesis system, but hopefully this kind of technology will be available to the indie in a very short time (realatively).

I love how he calls the Genesis the greatest low light camera he has ever used. I gotta get one!!!

Ask any ASC member about the comparisons between HD and film, and barring personal preference, they will tell you that cinematography in and of itself is the art form. Whether you're shooting 35 or video, it's important to remember that the camera is merely a tool through which you channel your art.

Above all else, have skill, and don't become trapped by your medium.

I actually got to see him in person at an EXPO show here in Chicago a few years back. He was actually a DVX owner and talked about it.
