Robert McKee video interview

Some of you have certainly seen this already but for you that havn't there is an one hour long video interview with Robert McKee over at BigThink.com. As always with Robert McKee it's an interesting and pleasant listening.

Don't know why digital would equal more shallowness though, but he do say he just doesn't know.

Thanks for the link. Very interesting.

The digital comment most likely was not reffering to digital acquisition (dslr, hdv, etc...) but more towards the internet age (txt messages, facebook, twitter)

Very good interview. Agree with most of what he says, except his praise for Akiva Goldsman and saying Spielberg is an excellent craftsman with nothing to say. Not every Spielberg film is a personal statement but he often does have things to say, they are just not things Mckee is interested in. E.T. and Close Encounters are very personal films with a distinct authorial stamp. I wouldn't even say M. Night has nothing to say. Someone like Michael Bay has nothing to say. He is all style and flash. His stories are incidental.
