Rise of the Valiant

I finally finished my new film. I started in march 2014. We drove about 6,000 miles interviewing WWII veterans from South Carolina to Oklahoma. The film is the story of the Battle of Okinawa told by members of the Sixth Marine Division. I used my GH3 and edited with FCX. I put it for sale on Amazon and entered it into a couple military film fest. The opening song was composed by another DVX User member Erik Wikstrom. A great piece of music. This is the link to the film and one to the first trailer I made.

Best of luck with it, how did you handle the copyright of the archive footage i.e. was it very expensive, stuff from the Imperial War Museum in London can be quite expensive.

Good effort.

I feel the trailer could do with some sound.

A mix of 'battle noise' and crusty veterans saying the best bits they said also maybe a VO or archive audio of the time newsreel or poitician/general sending these guys off to hell from their armchair.
