Ripping from burned DVD

I have a scene on DVD that I shot for a class, that I burned using DVD Studio Pro. I was running out of drive space and stupidly deleted ALL the original stuff from the drive, because I didn't think I would use it again. :furious3: Now I want to put it on my reel, and I'm not sure if there is a good way to get it off of the DVD.

Can anyone PLEASE help me get the video and audio back to my computer? :crybaby:

Thanks for any help you can give,
Lanz

I use cinematize for these things. Always works fine for me and you have some option as to how you want to output it, like a .mov file to put back into FCP or whatever you use.

DVDxDV is the easiest solution I've found for ripping footage from any DVD (no anti-copy protection problems yet, which I shouldn't run into since all my ripping is from DVD's I own and I restrict ripping to personal use only....yeesh!) to the FCP DV .mov standard format. However, it does cost $25 or $80 depending on if you go Pro or not.

But a demo is available at: www.DVDxDV.com

There is also a HDVxDV for converting HDV video to FCP native, I think. I've never used that application, so I'm not able to comment on it.

Hand Brake is the best I've found it dose the rip the conversion everything all that the same time. And it is 100% free. Although I do recomend giving them a $10 donation it is a really good program
