RIP Max von Sydow

One of the first movies that I saw on VHS:

My favorite von Sydow performance of all time was as the freelance assassin Joubert in "Three Days of the Condor." A stone cold businessman (whose business just happened to be killing people with utter precision) who still retained his humanity even while gunning down his victims. No other actor could have pulled it off that way. My top movie villain ever.

He told the Redford character that he found his occupation to be quite peaceful, because he didn't have to take sides.
