Many of you may not know who Keith Barr was, but somewhere down the line, he touched your life. Without his contributions to the digital world of audio, we wouldn't have a bunch of the tools we use everyday. Keith started at MXR and went on to create ALESIS.
Keith was a really great guy and one hell of a chip designer. I had a few opportunities to speak directly with him as I was one of the company reps in New England in 1990 and because I owned a commercial recording facility...was able to test beta versions of the ADAT and supply feedback & recommendations.
I'll never forget patching that plain black box in and being amazed at the quality of the recordings (I was a completely analog studio for years until the ADAT & PARIS came around!). WOW...what a difference digital made.
MAN... we've come a long way baby!
