Although most of you didn't know Gary Shackelford, he was my best friend and a phenomenal director. He was the idea guy in our production company Window In Time. He died in a car accident Sept. 9th 2008. He will be greatly missed. I figured this would be one of the most appropriate places to post this as he has been an aspiring film-maker just like many of you. He started in high school in the 70's and eventually gave up the dream to start a business he hated. He signed the papers selling this business the day he died when we were supposed to start working on our business full time! He left behind his wife and son Kyle Shackelford who I will encourage to follow in his fathers footsteps. (He already is an amazing story writer and is great with composition) See you later Gary!

Gary was a great guy and an honest upright individual. I am sorry for his loss and will be praying for his and Shane's family as they grieve.

Life is so short and unpredictable.

Sorry to hear about this.... I hope you keep moving forward with what the two of you planned to do in the future. Also, sticking with his son and encouraging him is an admirable thing.

hey foster, i hope you do great things, take care of kyle, hes a friend of mine, I didn't get a chance to see you at the funeral. I hope Troy's film worked out well.

We will see our friend again. . .

I am so sorry to hear this. My deepest condolences. I can relate a bit. I lost one of my best friends from high school about a year ago. He died suddenly (nearly 32 yrs old) from an asymptomatic (hence undetected) duodenal ulcer. I'm still pretty broken up about it and miss him terribly.
