Ring light photos

Would any of you like to post some pics with Ring lights used? I was thinking of buying one for my d80, but not sure if it's worth it. If you do post any can you name the model and camera thanks.

I rarely care for the type of halo shadow you get from these, but there are ways around it. Here are some links to Flickr Groups that just do ring lights.

This might also be the single most DIY light ever. Search Google and you find hundreds of ways to build one. I have a buddy who built one out of PVC, cereal bowls, and edison flows. It's about 3 feet wide but takes an interesting picture. The only example of his I have is below. It's obviously super processed, but you can still see the ring catch light in his eyes.

Here are a few I've taken with a ring flash. Sorry they are all glamour, but I don't typically use it for any of my normal work (corporate, products, magazines, etc).

Ring light only.
