Ring 2

My experience seeing this movie pretty much sucked. Everyone in the theater was talking through the whole movie, as well as laughing at parts that weren't suppose to be funny.

Anyways...The Ring (original) was definitley a lot better. The kid was awesome in the first one but I just couldn't help but not like him in this movie. There was some cool effects (except the deer which just absolutley sucked ass) in this movie but not really any big scares.

My tip, if you do see this movie in the theaters, go at a time when it isn't busy.

I saw this two weeks ago at a pre-screening. Usually movies are even cooler when you see them before everyone else. Not this one though, this was just horrid.

Can we get some non-effects based horror. please?

Verbinski's ring was pretty terrifying. The effects were really effective. That scene when the girl comes out of the tv almost ruined my pants.

Awesome, reservoir, I'll be sure to check it out. Bring it back to the days of Hitchcock horror, I love it.

Well, here I go being a doofus again, but I liked The Ring2. I didnt see the first one, so maybe that had something to do with it. I mean it wasnt the best movie I've ever seen, but I didnt think it sucked all that. However, the theater was packed PACKED with teenagers and the theater manager had to actually come in and interrupt the previews to tell them all that if even one adult came out to complain about noise, cell phones or foot traffic, they would empty the theater of them all. No second chances. haha!!! I've never seen that, where they make that sort of announcement. :)

Rosemary's Baby is a great classic psychological horror film without modern effects.

Well I don't know that there were many "modern day" effects back then. (Aside from squibs and lengths of dental floss. )

I mean non-effects based horror for NEW movies.

thartley- you totally should have complained, and gotten all those rotten teenagers kicked out of the theatre. Damn punks.

Hmm, Strange. That's exactally what happend when I went to watch the ring2. The managers and like 6 securities came in and told everyone to turn off their phone, pagers, pace makers. I've never seen them do this beofre. Weird.

But one thing I did enjoy about this movie is the audience reactions. Boy that was fun watching them jump out of their seats and sometimes accidently hitting me in the head with their feet. That was great!

What is REALLY weird about that is I think we went on the same night.

the thing in the first one that did it for me was not the girly with the long hair covering her face at all... but the great cut scene of the dead rotten girl in the closet. that stayed with me for a week and a half. i just could not sleep.

and about the whole security thing, maybe because they didn't want pranks with cell phones and such because of the movie's related content? i haven't seen it but... is it still about getting phone calls and such?

I like horror. but I can't stand japanese horror. It's great scare... but I hate long hair covering face girls.

I got into the Japanese horror thing a couple of years ago (the original Ringu, Versus, etc.) but I quickly became bored with it. Most of the stuff is just plain weird.
