Rigs

I'm sure some of you have made and are into the making of camera rigs and stabilizers and so am I. I was looking at camera booms a few summers ago and how they function as well as price. I was amazed at some of the prices for an 8 foot jib and most STILL require a 2000$ fluid head tripod for it to pivot on and to pivot smoothly. Anyhow, I figured I could build one for a fraction of what half of them cost. I kinda drew from commercial booms and other ones I have seen that people have made. I built the first one and it worked but I soon realized how shaky it really was. I revised the design and came up with a solid working 8ft boom for about $350. I will post some footage of it eventually but here are some pics. Tell me what you think or post some other rigs some of you guys may have built. I find all of em interesting.

Not bad at all, you have a very slight shake in a few areas but looks pretty smooth. That is a nice reach on your rig, how many feet? and is that shot on Red?
good stuff

not to be blunt but I hope you are being sarcastic about spending $238.00
