Re: right now..

My ideal meal includes a well cooked steak. Sorry IAL, but that's got to be one of the best tasting things I've ever experienced...

Re: right now..

i'm on low carb trying to lose the weight i've gained since i got married. ;D lost 11lbs. so far. :D

Re: right now..

boo,
you mean that low carb diet thing actually works???
you don't do any exercise, and eat greasy food like fried chicken and still loose weight??

Re: right now..

From what I understand, the low carb diet works by jamming your stomach so full of undigestable crap, that the body would rather start feasting on itself rather than go to work on the stuff you've put in your stomach.

Kind of a poor-man's stomach-stapling, if you will.

Re: right now..

Well thats the Atkins style; I practice the ZONE diet which totally rocks.  Im getting to be as slim as I was when I was 21 at 34 but with more muscle.  Its a combo of eating the right kinds of foods in the right quantity at the right time.

Its not even a diet for me; I totally grub and eat more or less what I want but try and get 4 to 6 smaller meals in a day for that whole metabolism trick and when I feel like grubbing and indulging I just do with no guilt.

Gotta work out and drink water and not so many cokes :P

:)

Re: right now..

yeah low carb is eating all them greasy meaty food. ;D but i mostly eat grilled chicken, certain veggies, water, and non caffeinated soda. i also jog on the treadmill for 20min. 3-4 days a week. when i was single, i was 160lbs. i got up to 248lbs but am currently at 237lbs.

Re: right now..

I am resizing pictures of my car after an accident where the other woman took off. But luckily for me and unluckily for her, I took pictures of both our cars as well as her taking off...

Re: right now..

LOL..thats awesome..post some of this when you have it all together...I hope all goes ok with your car and her having to pay for everything... :P

Re: right now..

I just though of an idea to save the world, but decided to post here before attempting to implement it.

Re: right now..

Cool! I'm glad you've got the evidence. ;)

A few months ago, I was driving home from a 12 hour shoot and was hit head-on by a drunk driver who fled the scene.

Fortunately, it was at a 4-way intersection with stop signs and I was stopped. He was at my left at the 4-way stop and turning to his right. Well, Mr. Lexus swung far too wide and entered my lane.

I gasped. My eyes looked like this... :o With my mouth wide open, I pressed hard on my Jeep Cherokee's horn with my thumb. He swerved back towards his lane, but it was too late.

Bam! I felt my Jeep lift as it hit. My Jeep stayed aloft a few moments as it's bumper took a ride down the front driver's side quarter panel of the $70,000+ Lexus.

I put my Jeep in park, unbuckled my seatbelt, jumped out only to see him driving away at a rather quick clip.

I got back in my Jeep, whipped a U-ey with my left hand as my right began dialing 911 on my cell phone.

Once I got over the top of a hill and was able to identify his car about a quarter mile ahead at the next intersection, I dropped back some so as not to raise his suspicions that I was, indeed following him.

Suffice to say... he was rather startled to find me parked in front of his driveway when he stumbled out of his now-destroyed Lexus inside his 3-car garage.

I came extremely close to going Michael Douglas on his ass (from "Falling Down").

Fortunately, I remained *just* calm enough to refrain.

Two police cars showed up soon after and the asshole was cited but not arrested.

Re: right now..

yes, it all happened last night about 2 hours before i posted here.  I am having the pictures developed now.  they better turn out.  I took 3 of my car, and then 2 of her front plate, 1 of the side where we collided (this is when she decided to leave), and then, as she almost ran me over to get out of there, 3 as she was leaving of her rear (plus plate), so ONE of those better show the plate, cuz neither my wife nor I remembered it.  I will post pics if they come out.  But I will blank out her plates until this is resolved.  Don't want to take any chances.  >:(
It's obvious she doesnt have insurance.  But.. and maybe cuz I'm in my 30s or cuz I'm married or it's not my first accident, but I'm more mellow than I used to be.  I'm just glad my wife and I werent hurt.  It's only metal.  It will be fixed.

Re: right now..

Back in 1989 my buddy and I were driving home from Ensenada as we used to go down every Sunday to Papas & Beer for some 'fun fun fun'.  Girls everywhere just off the Mexican Riveria Cruiseship would pour into Papas and we would have to take advantage of the girls from Ohio, Florida, New York or wherever and who were always drunk and looking to party.

Well, we were young and dumb and routinely drove home drunk.

One Sunday, I was chilling, listening to some Janes Addiction and my buddy was driving and I noticed the sensation of the Jeep (Soft Top CJ 7) moving to the left.  I open my eyes and look up but it was too late.

The Jeep was already moving off the road and towards the center divide ditch and my buddy was passed out drunk over the wheel.  I slapped his ass in the head "Wake up! Dude!" and tried grabbing the wheel.  He wakes up and rights the wheel to the RIGHT to avoid going off the road and the Jeep pitches into the ditch and then back up onto the road and then proceeds to flip End over End 4 or 5 times.

I literally thought this was the end.  I literally held on for dear life thinking "Well, this is it."

The Jeep was mauled we were not (Had 5 point seat belts).  I had a gash above my left eye and my friends back was tweaked.

Anyway, that was the day I learned not to drive drunk.  The Policia showed up and in turn wanted to arrest us for ****ing up their freeway.  Thats another story in its self.
