Rifa EX44 vs F&V r300 LED

I'm looking to finally start a kit and I need something really compact and light to travel with. Mostly for sitdown interviews, but I'm almost always walking to gigs so it's gotta be something I can carry.

I was pretty set on the r300 LED, but I've found the rifa ex44 for a good price and I've been pleased with the light. the r300 is an unknown to me.

Anyone use both and can compare them in terms of brightness, color, etc...?

Love the RIFAs for quick setups.

IMO hot lights always beat LED/Fluoro for color, unless you need to match daylight.

To that end with the Rifa EX's, I'll sometimes swap in one of the edison bulb socket adapters for the EX and use a good daylight-balanced, high-wattage CFL. Works well.

When traveling I used my rifa88 (old version, tungsten only) extensively over the years. But with most of what I do being more daylit shots, I now pack two R300s.
I use the r300 off camera on small light stands and sometimes on the rods when that ring-light look fits the job or on low as an eye light .
The easiness to move a light for some punch, backlight, fill also outweighs the lack in color accuracy of LEDs for me.
that's why I haven't used the Rifa in over a year.
Well, for light travel, my main kit is a set of Divas.
But like mcbob said: tungsten still is king for skin;)
