Ridley Scott on Method Acting

That's Cool, bro...I didn't feel that you were intentionally trying to be offensive. I just wanted to state my feeling that lying is a word that has negative connotations. It's like, I don't believe that someone who wins the academy award for best adaptation of a screenplay would appreciate me saying that it is sort of like stealing someone's story and making a movie out of it...it's not a fair word to attach to a skill that is acquired and applied with integrity...but no hard feelings...

Cheers,
Stan The Man

That's a good point. I guess there is always misunderstanding between the different areas of the film making process.

*Removes letter opener that was accidently driven into all actors' backs*

(That's my way of saying no hard feelings!)

Actors being compared to liars is soooo 18th century... :cheesy:

LOL! :D

But in response to Stan Harrington's comment, I just wanted to clarify that my analogy was not intended to carry *any* negative connotation whatsoever, just to point out that the "mechanism" of acting, if you will, happens to have considerable commonality with um...you know...that other thing we all have to do sometimes...but *only* for noble reasons : )
