rhode mic?

it severs as a stabilizer shock mount so it can be shaken or hit without any unwanted noise. I have a videomic and love it but actually dont like it in the shock mount and have attached it without it (tends to shake it too much)

I already got this mic , can I add XLR cable and use it with the DVX100 ? or I need to upgarde

I suppose you *could* use it with a 1/8 to xlr adapter, but I would just sell it and go for an ntg1 in a normal shockmount. Or an oktava perhaps if you are doing more indoor work. The odd unbalanced to balance conversion and that weird shockmount just bothers me.

I use an NTG-1 with the Rode shock mount and it is about 90 bucks more that the mic you are talking about and I would say it is well worth it...phantom power, xlr connections, broadcast quality...hands down, for my money NTG-1 is the best bang for your buck
