Hey guys just a quick question. I know I read of a web site that you could got to in order to look up open RF for your area, but I can't remember where I read about it. Does anyone know of anything like this? Even some direction on how to find out what RF are open would be great. I keep getting these annoying static "spikes" when I record with my seinheisser g2 system, even when I'm close so I'm pretty sure it's just interference. It's a UHF system and I've tried various channels with the same results, anyhow thanks in advance.

the best id to use rd analyzer /scanner
rf problems change every day,
but generally check your antennas , it may be you have some problem there .also transmitter placing ( body blocking)
lectrosonics have also good information about open spectrum in major cities , not that it doesnt change
check if you didn't have large metal objects around what might cause the rf interruption ( dual signal)
and the last - thy are low power transmitters ,dont expect to much

Ya, Oleg you are right......all it takes is one Taxicab driving by, or someone messing around with a radio handheld. Frequency chart just shows TV station mostly.

Also check your mic connections - I was having (what I thought) was RF hits and it turned out that the actor (darn them) had somehow partially unscrewed his mic from the pack. And, with my G2's, another trick I often use is to move the Rx's closer to the action with a long XLR and gaffer tape. This is often easily done, and will almost always improve the reception.
