Revolutionary Snap Follow Focus - revolutionary really?

Sure, it's more evolutionary than revolutionary,

That said, this is pretty cool! You can stay completely stabilized and change focus without resulting bumpy footage. Also would focus a lot smoother. I could see myself getting something like this in the future. I like it.

I doubt there is any repeatable precision in that FF.
No way to set several marks and doing the same shot more than once .

Front brake! Rear brake! Focus...
What about the guys riding fixed gear bicycles without brakes?
Can you focus while skidding? :p

Nice concept for run n' gun, but definitely not for accurate focus pulls.

+1. Not to mention you're kind of pigeonholed with only being able to perform a snap focus, no slow motivated focus pulls.

Ironically, many of the shots of the gear are out of focus.
that's exactly what I was thinking..... and I love the producer doing it all by herself hahaha (if only she had been holding a boom mic with the other hand)........

Ya got it all wrong...I applaud their efforts. Taking a new look and coming up with a different way to accomplish any function on any camera is a good thing. Perhaps they didn't quite hit the mark this time, but this is the American way ! (sorry Frank) :)
What's the story of how many tries Edison had to get the light bulb going? We should support innovation...we all benefit when it goes right after all!

I also applaud their effort, everyone that tries to do something and tries to make it work deserves and applaud....but I'm talking about the video and the infomercial look of it...There are some out of focus shots that don't help their sales point. Some rack focuses come to an out of focus shot...
