(not really an editor - so please forgive the naive question)
I have a lot of clips/footage that I need to review, but nowhere near time to start a timeline. Working with Final Cut. How do the seasoned editors go through hours of footage? want to watch not just scrub through
I would like to preview them on an iPad (watch them on the train/coffee house, etc..), My two goals first to see what we have second rename descriptive so when the time for an NLE timeline footage is organized. If at all possible set rough In and Out points that could then be transferred in their metadata to Final Cut or Premier. Really hoping to be in a more informal software than a Final Cut project at this stage.
I don't have Final Cut for the iOS, I was thinking of using iMovie but again I just want to watch and rename untouched clips at this stage
any insights or suggestions?
I appreciate the patience I know I'm naive about all things editing
