Hey all,
I realize this may seem a bit confusing, but I was wondering if you all could help me out with this strange question.
I just got a Black Magic Camera. Long and the short of it is that Premiere doesn't import CinemaDNG files anymore. My solution, then, was to import all my Cinema DNG's into AE, stick them all into separate compositions, and then import that AE project into Premiere via Dynamic Link. This seems to work quite well. I maintain full quality of the clips without having to transcode, and if I need to adjust the raw files, I just go back into AE and do so and it reflects in Premiere.
HOWEVER...there is an issue. Each of the compositions is a single clip in Premiere. So I edited them all together as I would any other clip of footage that was imported to Premiere. The issue I'm having now is that I want to take this edit back to After Effects while still keeping the raw files. Does anyone have any idea how to do this? All my AE compositions have been cut and trimmed in Premiere, but these cuts and trims to the composition lengths don't reflect back in After Effects. Is it possible to make that happen? Is this making any sense? Any help would be greatly appreciated!
