Reverse + avi file problems!!!

Okay, I'm pretty new to Adobe.
Been trying out Adobe Premier Pro CS3.
I took some footage on a cheap, basic camera and imported it into Premiere. I reversed the footage and then simply saved it as a movie file (AVI).

When watching this avi, the video is reversed, but it's flickering and... not smooth I guess. You kind of have to see it to understand what I mean.

I'm uploading it to Vimeo now- but it's going really slow.

Can anyone help me? Why might this be happening? Prefences? My pc just can't handle it?

ANYONE?! I think I'll give up on uploading it to Vimeo... my internet connection is sooo slow.

Under the video rendering preferences? Because the file format is DV PAL, the compressor format is also DV PAL and the color depth is "millions of colors". Also the optimize stills checkbox is ticked.

General preferences:

General
Editing mode: DV PAL
Time Base: 25 frames/second

Video
Frame size: 4:3
Pixel aspect ratio: D1/DV PAL (1.067)
Fields: Lower fields first
Display format: 25 fps timecode
Title safe area: 20% horizontal & 20% vertical
Action safe area: 10% horizontal & 10% vertical

Audio (you probably won't need this...)
Sample rate: 48000Hz
Display format: audio sample

Edit: And the capture was set as "DV Capture"
