Returning to PPro cs5

Some time ago (my pre Mac days) I used PPro 1.5 with a Matrox board. Then I moved over to Macs and FCP.

I've just downloaded the trial version of PPRO CS5, and must say at first glance it looks quite good. Just got to re-learn all the different shortcuts etc, need to do it quick cos i've got three jobs to edit!

I must admit though, (i'm still downloading footage) the individual clips using the scene detect is nice, something I missed in FCP, I know there's a workaround but PPRO does it automatically.

Be a long night tonight cos I want to try and get this first job finished tonight. Bring on the Red Bull!

Okay so i've got my first problem!!!
I've captured my footage from an XL2 camera which was set to 50i frame rate and 16:9 aspect ratio. The settings in PPRO are DV-Pal anamorphic. All the footage is now in the project window, however the clips video size changes randomly throughout, for instance the first ten clips show a video size of 720 x 576 then the next one will show 1049 x 576 then 720 again for a few clips then 1049 for one then back to 720 and so on. The camera settings never changed throughout the shoot,

Can anyone help please. The final output needs to be 16:9.
Have I set something wrong in the settings, although I wopuld expect all the clips to be wrong if that were the case? Any help appreciated.

Seems like something was messed with during filming. Premiere would capture what you asked it to capture. What is the final output? If SD or 720 you can scale the footage to fit the size you need.

The settings remained the same throughout filming. I've loaded the footage into FCP with no issues at all. All the clips are the same size. I have also tried a tape from another job, capturing in PPRO and the same thing happens, a few frames at 720 then one at 1049 then back to 720 for a few more and so on and so on!
I was using scene detect in PPRO, could that be an issue?

Tried that Ann, still no joy! I was really looking forward to trying out PPRo again, but the time i've wasted over the last couple of days has made me do the job in FCP.
I have just bought a GH1 so will try some footage from that using PPRo and see how it copes with that.
