Retail Source?-SD302

Looks like the best price on an SD302 is 1295. Just wondering if anyone knows of a retailer with a better price. I'm leaning toward Trew Audio but if someone knows of any place (reputable) that has a better price, would love to know about it.
thanks in advance,
gco

Yeah, I'm guessing the shipping from Israel would eat the savings and then some.
Thanks anyhow Oleg!
$1295 seems like the lowest here in the states. Will have to give Trew a call.
Man, this is gonna hurt.

The best you can hope for is free shipping. $1295 is IT... I got mine from Gotham Sound and they were very cool to me... so naturally I tell people to try there... but you won't get anything off the $1295 from anywhere.

Sound Devices and Lectrosonics are all about "the price is the price". Dealers don't budge.

I bought mine from Location Sound. They had a better price than Trew. Unfortunately Trew bought out their Vancouver location earlier this year.

the prices are standardized across the board... only way you can get new ones for less is MAYBE if you can find old stock at the old 1195 price (this is unlikely to impossible) or look for a deal on Ebay (unlikely, as SD products tend to sell for so close to new prices when second hand)

this is one thing i love about my 302 - since the price increase i'm pretty much guaranteed the money i spent back if i ever sell it! but i probably wont ever sell it. ah well.

It doesn't matter if it's old stock... they won't budge on the price. I bought my 302 in the last day that I could get the old price and I called a bunch of stores the very next day just to check... and everybody said the same thing.

I'd planned to put up a thread telling people where they could get the last of the old-price 302's... didn't matter... you never saw the thread because there weren't any.

Since Jon just said to try Location Sound... I'd give them a call. I've got a few things from them and they've been one of my favorite places to buy... plus I already know that they give the absolute best deal on a 4073a... $499... So you should call them to see if they can do anything for you on the 302.

In a way, it's good for all of us in the long run. As long as they dont make the 302+ or a 303 or whatever and discontinue it, the value will keep going up. I paid $1195 for mine, I keep it in a Pelican (it still looks brand new even though I've used it). If the prices his $1500 in two years I could probably sell the thing for exactly what I paid for it!

The 302 is an awesome mixer. I would only ever want to sell it if I went for a 442.

I got mine used for $850 - so the deals can be found if you watch closely enough (and I got this one from B&H of all places). Just depends on how fast you need it.

Well, Location Sound is 1295 like everyone else. Sales must either be very solid for this unit or SD is exercising price control with their retailers, maybe even both. Either way, it seems to suggest strong sales and validate the reputation of the 302.
I actually dont need a mixer immediately but I definitely want the 302 for the preamp quality and meter ballistics that everyone here mention. I will definitely keep an eye out for a used one. Hadnt considered BH for source of used stuff--thanks Ptalsky.
