Footage from both a Canon 7D (1920x1080) and Canon XH-A1s (1440x1080) will be edited in one sequence. What is the best resolution size between the two cameras for editing?
Well, 1920x1080 is clearly the 'better' resolution, and your Canon 1440x1080 actually displays as 1920x1080 -- it uses pixel aspect ratio (PAR) to achieve proper HD dimensions from a reduced array -- so I can't see why you'd use anything but 1920x1080 as your sequence or output size.
