Resizing windows

I have rearrange my layout so my windows are slightly larger than normal. Both windows WERE the same size but I didn't save that particular layout. How do I get both windows to be the same size? One window is 65% and the other is 75%. The one that is 65% looks like its letterboxed because there is open space at the bottom and top of the window. Whereas in the other window the footage takes up the entire window.

Two things...

Window arrange of course will get you back to one of the preset window set ups.

But that isn't what you're asking... Use the button on top of the windows that gives you the sizing %. Click on it and set it to Fit to Window. Won't care the size of the window then... it will just size accordingly.

Shift + z does the trick of "fit to fill" (as Captainmench described above) for your viewer and canvas as well as your timeline. A great shortcut key combo to become familiar with.

speaking of shortcut keys....where do I find all of them for example if I want to set my keyboard up with all the shortcuts?

You shoudl have gotten a shortcut list on cardstock along with key labels in your FCP.
You can also go to Tools -> Keyboard Layout and see all the different shortcuts (and change them if you want)
