Resize while keeping Rez?

So lets say some idiot shooter (who shall remain nameless :embarasse) shot a whole day with his matteblox visible in about 80% of the shots. "He" was caught by the overscan of the viewfinder. The stuff looks alright on a tv, but on the web there's gonna be WAY too much Cinetactics product placement. Is there a way he can resize (crop) his video to be shown on the web without losing too much resolution? Is there a way to set the size of a clip so its standard for quicktime/wmv? Thanks in advance.

I'd go ahead and trim up the movie to fit in the action safe area.

You can do it in compressor or you might be able to figure out how to export it in FCP by changing the dimensions of the export AFTER you crop it. It will be smaller, but not by much.
