I am a techie/artsy hybrid who leans towards profiling creative people. Usually I know them before hand as friends and creators. The sound and imagery comes second or third in priority of our relationships. To up my game in mini-documentaries and portfolios I got a Sony FDR-AX700. I'm getting benefits from online tutorials including the series by Doug Jensen specific to this series of camcorders so I sought out forums he frequents.
Mostly I try to raise the visibility of a few sculptors using photography and video to tell their story and to share their work with an audience of galleries, collectors and curators. I've also done many years of pre-recorded radio shows showcasing spoken word and independent musicians from around the world - thank you internet access.
I've enjoyed living in several small communities approximately one hour's drive from Toronto where I spent my first 40 years in other vocations.
