Rescue me intro effect

[Sinamatic]

I was wondering how the effect on the font in the opening intro to rescue me was done.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qEDhE00oGAY you can see it here how the font comes out of the smoke

thanks!

the smoke that reveals the logo was probably added in post, and then used as a mask to drive opacity thus revealing the logo.

Funny, I just picked up Season 2 on sale yesterday and was watching the whole intro.

Thanks for your help Derrick. But I was talking about the smoke on the actors names, not the logo. Is that done the same way? Sorry I didn't make it more clear.
