Resampling, Can Someone please explain?

Hey Folks,

Had a question about resampling when you are working with fast or slow motion. I realize that depending on which setting you have for a clip (smart resample, force resample, or disable resample) you're clip can look very different. My guess, is that smart reample interpolates the frames needed, which is what mikes for that blurry look. however diabling resample seems to lose some of the frams.

So, can someone please explain to me in layman's terms(and anyone else who is curious) exactly what is happening here?

Your pretty much spot on. Dissabling resampling means that no frames will be interpolate, which means that if you shorten a clip some frames will be dropped or lengthen a clip, frames will be held.
Resampling makes tween frames when slowing down a clp and blends frames when speeding it up.
