hello all,

i was just wondering, how would a spot director find representation? for example, if the director himself has a good load of short films/ short spots.

You should start submiting your shorts and whatever projects you have to film festivals. This is how you get that recondition and building that resume of yours. If you want someone to represent you then you should show people what you got.

Why not use the reel to retain and produce spots for business clients? The fastest way to getting noticed other than festivals is do create the work for himself.

I have found having representation/an agent to be less than desirable.
Representing yourself is required as people skills are more than half of the job.
Build a nice reel and shop it around.
